I have many friends that are in law enforcement. They put there lives on the line everyday to protect ours so that we may live safely and happily. Every time that I or my family have needed an officer, they have been been there to help, support and keep us safe. Any fool that says that we should defund them is just that A FOOL !!!! Would you cut off your arm because you have a hangnail? I think not ! So please use your brains and not your foolish, childish, and uninformed emotions before you mouth off again.

The police keep my town safe. I cherish their work and their loyalty to my community. The courage that it takes to do this job is immeasurable and we are all better because of them. REMEMBER - Police ARE NOT the aggressors, they are DEFENDERS. Thank you for the jobs that you do and the blessed sacrifices that you make. We are all indebted to your service to our communities and to our lives.

The police in my town are an important part of our community. They take the time to get to know the people in the community and get involved in all the activities in our town. They provide physical and emotional support to the people of our town. They reach out and always try to help anyone in need.

My family stands behind not only the Foxboro PD, but ALL law enforcement! I have had some runs- ins with the police, all minor. At the time I was upset and blamed the police, as I have grown older I now understand I was in the wrong. I have been pulled over in recent years, I was again in the wrong but both times and got a warning. I attribute it to the fact I pulled over immediately, was polite, accepted responsibility, didn’t lie when asked if I knew why I was being stopped, kept my hands on the wheel with the interior light on, and asked if I could reach into the glovebox for my registration when it was asked for. Their job is hard enough, they have no way of knowing if it will be a routine traffic stop, or if you will try to kill them. Almost every cop I know says the same thing, how you treat them is how you will be treated and honesty is the best policy. As a society we have needed the support of the police for hundreds of years, now they need our support!!

Several years ago we had to call 911. Our daughter was about one at the time. She fainted and became unresponsive. She came to quickly and is ok but for young parents we were very frightened. Our local Milford police, firefighters and EMT responded. The first officer was at our house in under 2 minutes. She was calm, kind and very well trained. She quickly put us at ease knowing first rate people are here in Milford to protect us.

Ok, been pulled over a few times in my life. I was always in the wrong and accepted responsibility. I never received a traffic citation as I was always told by my dad to turn off the car, have license ready and hands on the steering wheel. If I didn’t actually know why I was pulled over, I would reply that “You obviously have better things to do, so I did something wrong.” Just always be respectful! They have a tough enough job so don’t make it worse!

Law and order are the premise of an intelligently organized society. Other that that, it's anarchy. I will stand behind our law enforcement officials no matter what.

When your child goes missing who do you call? The police. When someone hurts you who do you call? The police . When someone is climbing through your window of your house you worked really hard to buy and pay for. Who do you call? The police. The police are our protection. It would be a 5 star rating if it weren’t for one “bad” experience. I interacted with an officer who was a bit rude, as I was driving home from baseball practice with my friend. Perhaps he was giving us a hard time because of our age. However, I cooperated and did everything that was asked, and it never escalated past some sarcastic remarks from the officer. That said, he most likely isn’t a bad officer. He’s human- he very well could have been having a bad day. Otherwise, ALL officers that I have interacted with have been polite and respectful to me. In fact, they have been willing to contribute to my education as I pursue a criminal justice degree, as well as a degree in sociology. Heck, even our local K-9 Officer delivered a patch to my house directly and offered information for ride alongs after I sent him a letter in the mail! I grew up around law enforcement, as my father is a firefighter and worked closely with officers. Respect and honesty gets you a long way!

I was struggling with carrying my grociers into my apartment. This wonderful kind officer offered to help. I don't know his name but would like to thank him for his help and kindness.

I have many friends and family in law enforcement. You are the soldiers, hero's of our community. You don't know me or anyone else when you throw your life on the line at any given time. I thank you and your families, who with high anxiety, send you out everyday without knowing what the consequences can be. May god see you safely through everyday!

I was very sad . I called police to find the Suicide Hot line. Police came to my home. I was brought to my local hospital. They didn’t have any one to sit with me while waiting to be seen. The Police officer that had come to my home stayed and talked with me for 2 hours. He was kind , funny, and caring. I was seen finally and sent home. The officer went above and beyond to stay with me and help me to calm down and feel better. I was very grateful.

I was a Victim Advocate and worked with survivors of violent crime including rape, DV, Child abuse and Human Trafficking. I also assisted people who were in crisis and/or experiencing suicidal thoughts and issues. Police officers were always supportive. We depended on the Police to help us. We cannot live or work without our wonderful Police officers and Military. I am now a Realtor but I still work with people in crisis, with Veterans, military and anyone needing assistance. I have managed to get several homeless families off the streets and into safe shelter, some even own homes because I helped them get government funding to cover down payment and closing costs. In my work I am constantly meeting people who love our LEOs and want to help. Here in Tampa we have hundreds of people who appreciate and support the Police. Please let me know what I can do to help our wonderful Police officers and their families. ~With I was a Victim Advocate and worked with survivors Gratitude & Respect.

I’m a person who was living with a severe mental illness. The local police lieutenant came to my house with a clinician to check up on me and see if I was ok and ask me what was going on. At that time I was brainlessly braindead and hallucinating from bipolar illnesses. I was under-dosed by my medications and didn’t understand what people were saying to me when I was spoken to. Nobody knew how serious my mental illness was and that these hallucinations were that severe. I was acting strangely and was in a lot of pain on a daily basis. So the lieutenant and the clinician checked up on me a few times knowing that I was a mental patient. Unfortunately I didn’t give much detail. I certainly respect them for coming to check up on me. I haven’t really heard from them and I was very uncommunicative. I wish I could have told them what was going on with me and what was wrong with me.

I have always been respectful and honest to police officers, and have never had a problem. Put yourself in their shoes; they don’t know who’s going to be in the car they pulled over, so they may be equally as uneasy as you. If you have done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about. Back the blue and thank them for what they do in their communities.
